Browser Game Pick: Starfeld (Stephen Lavelle)
increpare's Starfeld is a simple horizontal-scrolling shooter where the player's job is to just pilot the ship while the lasers onboard are fired automatically in regular intervals. The game features small bits of cutscenes to break up the action, although the conversations can get a little raunchy, disturbing, and possibly offending at times.

This game is terrible.

This game probably took less time to write than to play. That, or it has been programmed by some AI, or maybe an intelligent parrot, or a dolphin, in which case it's pretty amazing.

This parody is better than Mass Effect.

Did anyone manage to be a soulless bastard from beginning to end? I tried to, but without the upgrades you get from doing the right thing, passing the last level seems impossible.

I was a soulless bastard. It's hard, but doable. I think that's part of the point: you need their help.
I'm playing with as many different combinations as I can. I still haven't handed the crew over, and am expecting a surprise when I do. Or just depression.

It seems there are just four endings: good with crew, soulless bastard with crew, and both handing the crew over. I tried one more combination (being a bastard to just one member), but then I got the same "soulless bastard" ending.
My opinion: the gameplay is boring, but the dialogue is fascinating - in a creepy way. I like it.

Hehe, increpare merged with bioware ...
Honestly I played through the 'good' path and then just read the source code to see the rest of the dialog.

The dialogue isn't nearly interesting enough to justify how boring the gameplay is.
And I usually love Increpare.

Interesting concept, but they could have done a whole lot more with it.

uhm, it was okay, I guess... but honestly, if its goal was to be a comment on "Moral choice" games like Mass Effect, it kinda failed. Although its point was accurate, it's been made over and over already, and has been quite well avoided by Mass Effect 2. Not perfectly, of course, but pretty damn well all things considered. So its a valid point, just kinda... late, and poorly timed.

yeah, this game is horrible.

Dammit! Game ended before I got my entire crew into one bed. :-(

Yup, I'd recommend playing the game this way too.

Raoul Duke: stop tripping on mescaline when playing games, bro. especially increpare's. as your attorney, i advise you to rail some speed and play tetris.

Spoilers I suppose.
Did everything good a didn't betray my crew and then get killed. I feel like I missed the point.
