5. Treasure Hunter Man

Treasure Hunter Man is a freeware 2D platformer created by Bernie, featuring four dungeons with different themes to explore, a variety of inventory items to find for puzzle-solving purposes, unlockable skills, a couple of secrets, and two endings to discover.

"Treasure Hunter Man was a project born out of boredom. My better half insists on watching court shows, and I just HAD to do something productive while the fat lady judge in the TV rambled on about poisoned dildos and more. And so I sat down, at a laptop I didn't own, and installed MMF2. I started throwing things together until I had a working engine with a generic character with two generic weapons and a little piggy as an enemy. I took my project home and after a while, Treasure Hunter Man was done! Yet another game made with no planning. But I usually enjoy these projects the most." - Bernie

The Independent Games Festival will return in March 2011 at GDC in San Francisco - look for more information soon. [More information...]
