6. Jumper 3

Jumper 3 is the much-awaited sequel to Matt's series of frustratingly difficult platformers, where players will once again be able to assume control over Ogmo as he traverse and explore over fifty levels' worth of challenges while acquiring new abilities along the way.

"Personally, I have a soft spot for Ogmo; he's the only character I created as a teenager that I've really kept thinking about and still feel is a part of me. I love the fact that he is never frustrated or upset about having to endure such horrible and ridiculous tests of agility. Nor does he face each additional challenge with redoubled dedication. He simply faces each challenge because he has to; because the universe has put him there and he must. I'm also fond of the irony of the series: that Ogmo is obviously a 'messed up', seriously flawed monster - an abandoned abomination synthetically created in a test-tube - but that he continually surmounts the most ludicrous obstacles to escape very imminent danger and somehow survive against incredible odds.

The premise of the game (both story-wise and gameplay-wise) has an inherent humor to it that I love to play with, and I guess that is why the series is so enjoyable to work with for me." - Matt

The Independent Games Festival will return in March 2011 at GDC in San Francisco - look for more information soon. [More information...]
